Every time we begin eating at the table, my boys food starts on their plate. Two minutes into mealtime, either through playing or lack of skill, the food is scattered across the table. My Plate-Mate offers children a unique self-feeding product. As a learning tool, My Plate-Mate assists in promoting independence and self confidence for all kids no matter what their age is or limitation. It is a “spill guard” that teaches and fosters independence to those who have difficulty eating. This spill guard guides food onto your utensil while preventing food from spilling onto the table and floor. My Plate-Mate brings this positive dining experience and eliminates frustration and mess.

My Plate-Mate offers an innovative feeding aid that easily attaches to and can be interchanged among round 8″-9 ½” diameter plates. But, how creative is this, they also offer an elderly/special needs line that fits plates 8”-11” in size. All spill guards are dishwasher safe and made in the USA of FDA approved food grade plastic. It is free of lead, PVC, polycarbonates, bisphenol-a, and phthalates.
Visit My Plate-Mate and enter the coupon code ‘MESSFREE’ to receive 10% off your order. Happy Dining!

Woohoo! Thanks to all of you who have voted for us on the Blogger’s Choice Awards, we have had some pretty good exposure as of late. The latest exposure has come in the form of a write up (ok, so it is more of a quick blurb at the end of an article…but we’ll take it) in the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. You can read it HERE. If you haven’t voted for us on the Blogger’s Choice Awards, we would SOOOOOOO love for you to do so. We aren’t above begging. Please, please, please vote for us.
Anyway, the article is actually about starting a family blog and we are big fans of family blogs because they are a great way to keep those close to you informed about your life, kids, etc… However, you must take necessary steps to keep you and your kids safe. Some blogging platforms (blogger, etc…) will allow you to make your blog private so only those folks to whom you give permission can actually see your blog. Obviously, you don’t want to give away your address, but most bloggers will even conceal their names (use pseudonyms) as an extra layer of precaution.
Regardless, when handled appropriately, family blogs are a great way to keep the grandparents, aunts, and uncles up to date with pictures and stories. We encourage you to start one. Have a great week!
