The Adjustable Infant Positioner

May 4, 2009

snuggin-go The Adjustable Infant PositionerSubscribe to the Popular Baby Products Newsletter to receive the coupon code necessary for $5 off your Snuggin Go order.  The coupon code will be given out in next Monday’s newsletter.

The Snuggin Go story begins with our founder Beth Rumack, a neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) and mother of two, with years of experience teaching parents of premature and term infants how to position their babies in car seats using rolled blankets and towels. These impromptu solutions often rolled out of position or were hard to maintain for parents over time. The result was unsafe seating position for young infants. In 2004, when Beth’s daughter was born weighing only 6 lbs, Beth took it upon herself to design the Snuggin Go to correctly position preterm and term infants in their seats.

Tidy Up Your Art Space

April 14, 2009

magnetic-wall-organizer Tidy Up Your Art SpaceWe love arts and crafts at our house as it allows our two boys to express their creative genius in many forms.  However, our art area is unorganized and messy.  Seriously, where do you store all those colored pencils, crayons, markers, paint, and paper?

Check out this Magnetic Wall Organizer at the Great Little Trading Company.  This is a cupboard, shelf and organizer in one simple, great looking piece! It’s a wall mounted magnetic board which includes its own strong magnetic hooks, pen pots and storage trays for keys, pens, papers and other important items – perfect for all those things you always need but can never find! Keep the containers and their contents on the board, or carry them about as you need them.

Make the Best of April Showers

April 9, 2009

color-a-smile Make the Best of April ShowersIt’s inevitable that you will be stuck indoors for some days during the month of April.  Which can only mean that you will break out all the craft projects you can think of to keep the kids busy.  I’m sure this will include lots of coloring, which brings us to our next point.

ColoSmile is a non-profit organization that spreads smiles with cheerful drawings. Since 1986 they have been collecting crayon drawings from children. Every month they mail thousands of these original crayon ‘masterpieces’ throughout the United States. The majority of the drawings are mailed to senior citizens but they are happy to send ’smiles’ to anyone who would like them.

March 4, 2009

I received an email from Julie Elkeshen with CityMommy.  (Check out our feature of CityMommy.)  With her permission (because she is very passionate about this product), I’ve posted her write up on Haydeburri Lane’s Rascals & Routines. Julie has graciously extended her 15% off discount with the coupon code ‘citymom’.  Enjoy the read!

rascals-and-routines Haydeburri Lane’s Rascals and Routines“I think that the most challenging thing that I have faced as a mother so far is……bedtime! Some parents just have this down…but for me, it has always been a challenge! Getting them to follow a routine was like pulling teeth! Then I stumbled upon Haydeburri Lane’s Rascals & Routines.

Great Little Kids Crafts

February 11, 2009

little-kid-crafts-for-all-seasons Great Little Kids CraftsI’m always looking for constructive and creative ways to spend time with our two boys.  I love doing artsy and crafty things with them and nothing gets me more excited than watching their faces light up as they learn different things.  But, admittedly, it is hard to hold their attention for an extended period of time.

But suppose you could sit down with your child and calmly do a craft project together in a nurturing and learning environment.

Give the Gift of a Zoo Membership to a Mom

December 18, 2008

zoo Give the Gift of a Zoo Membership to a MomIf you’re tired of buying bibs, bottles, toys, and baby clothes for your grandchild, why not give the creative gift of a zoo membership.  We have one and we love it!  Not only is it a creative gift idea for a new parent, but it gives them a guilt free excuse to leave the house with baby and not have to spend money.

The zoo pass also lets the parent and the child have a fun, interactive, and educational activity to partake in.  So, before you buy another onesie, give some thought to purchasing a zoo pass at your local zoo.
