If you’re like me, you’ll be traveling with the kids to see family and, although I look forward to spending time with family, the trip there is a different story.  Eight hours in a car with 2 and 1 year old boys can be a nightmare.  So in my journey to find different activities that will entertain them I ran across My First Brain Quest.

As we were decorating our home a week or so ago, we pulled out our treasured Nativity set that has been handed down through the generations.  Parts of it are made of wood and other parts made of porcelain.  I love it, not because it is pretty, but because it reminds me of my time as a child at Christmas and, more importantly, I am reminded of the true meaning of Christmas.

My two kids love balls: footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, golf balls, baseballs, beach balls, etc…  Our house is filled with them and our backyard is littered with them.  And, isn’t it great to have a toy for the kids that doesn’t need batteries!  So, we are always game for new fun play balls to add to our collection.

Happy Monday!  If you haven’t picked up on it lately, we’ve been having some sharing problems between our one and two year old boys lately.  However, it seems our two year old thinks he’s out smarted us.  We have the Melissa & Doug Alphabet Train Floor Puzzle that he absolutely LOVES but it requires a bit of space to actually assemble.  So, before he gets to the letter ‘L’ of the train puzzle, our one year old has usually disassembled the previous letters frustrating our two year old.

Our 23 month old is OBSESSED with Thomas the Train.  He got a big surprise when he popped open the Thomas the Train Playhut.  Needless to say, he hasn’t quit playing with it.  What do we love about it?  It is lightweight, easy to fold, easy to store, and is roomy enough for two toddlers.  If your child likes Thomas the Train, we highly recommend checking this toy out.  Fantastic.
