The days leading up to Christmas are very exciting for children. We decorated our house on Sunday and the change in decor got both of our kids very excited. What is it about ornaments on a tree that scream “Pull me off, play with me, and break me!” We’ve already had one train ornament and decorative ball meet their demise yesterday, less than 24 hours after decorating the tree.
Anyway, one way to foster that sense of excitement is to celebrate each day with an Advent Calendar. There are many Advent Calendars out there and you can buy an elaborate one, or make a simple one. Regardless, your kids will love waking up to a new small gift, note, or treat. Try it out.
