Jonathan Papelbon, the iconic closer for the Boston Red Sox, and his wife, Ashley, are expecting their first child on New Year’s Day. Papelbon, a three time All-Star pitcher, appeared in last night’s All-Star game in New York with a firestorm of controversy as he blamed the New York media for creating a threatening situation for his wife.
