It’s been crazy over at our house lately because we’ve been potty training our 2 year old son. We’ve been able to celebrate and, um, ‘encourage him the next time’. That being said, I’ve become intimately acquainted with our potty training chair. Never thought I’d speak the words ‘intimately acquainted with a portable toilet’, but such is the situation I find myself in.
We’ve been using the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair and would definitely recommend it for these reasons:
- Ease of use - Easy to take the inner potty part out to empty and clean.
- Perfect height for a two year old
- Lightweight
- High front edge for boys - Knocks down the ‘fluid’ if they don’t ‘direct it’ very well.
Here are some knocks against it:
- Awkward to carry - It’s just bulky and hard to carry with everything else you have in your hands. It would be great if it came with a handle to hold on to.
- Big - It takes up a lot of space in the trunk of our car.
Overall, this is the best chair we’ve used and we’ve tried a few. We’re willing to sacrifice the easy of transporting the thing, for the ease of use it provides for our little boy. Do you recommend any other potty chairs?

Boon Potty Bench.
I am in love with this potty
It is a rather large piece of furniture, though carrying it in the car, very easy!
It has two side holders that will hold magazines, books, even a toilet paper hanger. The lid closes and it has a splash guard for little boys.
My daughters love this thing….

We have the Little Baby Bjorn Potty…size works well in our vehicle. Great to have with you, ‘if’ a potty emergency comes up. Even older ones/ 4 yr old girl could use it…for those stops by the side of the road/when traveling & no other option for miles.
We used this a lot more (at home) when he was younger…now, he stands on a stepstool and does his business or he sits on the Bjorn Potty Seat (fits onto the toilet)….has to use a step stool to get up on it. He is currently 29 months old.
He can still sit on the Little Potty…he did the other day (used it as a chair) while watching the Once Upon a Potty DVD.
The nice thing about this little one is it is all 1 piece, so easy to clean. Easy to carry…as there is a cut out in the back of the seat/easy hand hold.
When child gets bigger (& is a boy) might have problems keeping all the wet in/as spray hits the front inside of potty.
Over all a great potty seat! Wish I had purchased it sooner & used it when my older children were little.

We love the little potty from Baby Bjorn with our first. We have discovered though, with our second, that not all boys are created equal. Our oldest (now $) is very small for his age. Our youngest son (not quite 2) is slightly above average for his age. While our oldest had occasional spillage on the little potty, it is a regular occurrence with son #2. I have been eyeballing the potty chair in your post for a couple of months now. I think you’ve convinced me to take the plunge.
