Dutch Ingenuity Solves Pregnancy Wardrobe Blues!

December 22, 2007

We have all been there: you are in your last trimester, feeling huge with absolutely nothing to wear. Sure, there is that one maternity shirt that still works but you are bored of wearing the same thing over and over again.  And what to wear to that important business meeting?

Leave it to the Dutch to design a clever and hip accessory that will solve all of these pregnancy wardrobe issues. Just grab your favorite regular (non-maternity) shirt out of the closet, slip on a sashay and nobody will ever know that your shirt barely covers half your belly.  The sashay allows you to wear your regular shirts until the day you give birth.  Combine it with a dress or skirt and instantly turn it into a fashionable and fun maternity piece.  It also hides those unflattering panels on your pants and skirts.  Great for yoga moms too.  Now you can actually do the downward dog without having your shirt drop over your head.

Sassabies’ sashays are designed and manufactured in San Francisco by Dutch mom Saskia Charbonneau.  While wearing sashays thoughout her pregnancy, she received so many compliments that she decided to start her own business: Sassabies.  Starting with friends and friends of friends, Sassabies has now found its way to many grateful mamas-to-be. As one mom wrote: ‘Thank you SO much for the wonderful sashays from Sassabies.  They save you a ton in new wardrobe costs and they look so in style.  Now I know what gift to give to every pregnant friend.

‘Sassabies’ sashays come in black and brown, with illustrations or plain.  One size fits most.  They couldn’t be easier to care for: wash warm and tumble dry low.  Check out the Sassabies website at www.sassabies.com
